What Are The Main Processing Methods For Metal Parts?

May 05, 2024

The main processing methods for metal parts are: machining, stamping, precision casting, powder metallurgy, metal injection molding.

  • Machining refers to the process of changing the shape, size or performance of a workpiece through a mechanical device. According to the difference in processing methods, it can be divided into cutting processing and pressure processing.
  • Stamping is a forming processing method that relies on presses and molds to apply external forces to plates, strips, pipes and profiles to cause plastic deformation or separation, thereby obtaining workpieces (stamping parts) of the required shape and size.
  • There are also special processing, laser processing, electrical discharge processing, ultrasonic processing, electrolytic processing, particle beam processing and ultra-high-speed processing.

Turning, milling, forging, casting, grinding, CNC processing, CNC numerical control center are all machining.
