The commonly used turning tools in precision parts machining are generally divided into three categories: pointed turning tools, arc-shaped turning tools and formed turning tools. Kanglida focuses on precision parts processing, from model and prototype production to mass production to surface treatment, with full-process processing control capabilities, and provides high-quality, high-precision core parts machining and assembly services for high-demand customers such as medical in vitro diagnostic equipment.
- Pointed turning tool. Turning tools with straight cutting edge characteristics are usually called pointed turning tools. The tip of this type of turning tool (that is, its seating position) consists of a straight main cutting edge and a secondary cutting edge, such as 90-degree internal and external turning tools, left and right turning tools, cutting (grooving) turning tools, and various external and internal turning tools with very small edges with inverted tips. When machining parts with this type of turning tool, the contour shape of the part is mainly obtained by the displacement of an independent tip or a straight main cutting edge, which is completely different from the principle of the part contour shape obtained by the other two types of turning tools. The selection method of the geometric angle of the pointed turning tool is basically the same as that of ordinary turning, but it should be comprehensively considered based on whether it is suitable for processing characteristics (such as processing route) and processing interference, and the strength of the tool tip itself should be taken into account.
- Arc turning tool. The arc turning tool is a special turning tool used for precision parts processing. It is a turning tool characterized by an arc cutting edge with small arc error or line profile error. Each point on the arc turning edge is the tip of the arc turning tool. Therefore, the tool positioning point is not on the arc, but at the center of the arc. When the tools of some pointed turning tools or forming turning tools (such as thread turning tools) have a certain arc shape, they can also be used as such turning tools.
- Forming turning tools. Forming turning tools are usually called model turning tools, and the contour shape of the processed parts is completely determined by the blade shape and size of the turning tool. When performing precision parts processing, common forming turning tools include small radius arc turning tools, non-rectangular groove turning tools and thread turning tools. During the processing process, forming turning tools should be used as little as possible. When a selection is necessary, it should be detailed in the process preparation document or process step table.
